MAV Clamping Units

The MAV Locking Devices meet both the advantage of forced fit system and semplified installation-removal. It is based on the wedge principle: the axial load of the scews generates through the tapers a high radial force that locks the parts by fricition.

Shrink Discs provide locking between a standard shaft and a hollow shaft – main applications being in the field of gear boxes, speed reducers, etc. These friction elements exploit the pressure in the hollow shaft interface generated by the forces of the conical cones, assembled through the bolts. Permit simple axial and angular hub movement Offer extremely concentric and well balanced connections, ideal for high speed applications. Presented in 3 options – Heavy, medium and light, depending upon torque transmissions. Also available in SPLIT version, Shrink discs provide excellent torque transmission and high resistance to bending.

Locking assemblies/clamping units are used as keyless mounting devices. They provide for transmission of higher torques and a self-centering ability in rotating machinery. Applications include pulleys, conveyors, turbine rotor. flywheels, brake drums, sprockets and self-mounted gear units.
